I’m 33. I moved to the city from a small town in Northwestern Ontario in my late teens to pursue art, and have been here in Vancouver ever since. Since a young age I’ve been crafting from home and doodling my way through class. Art has been a way to communicate, work, learn, and process my way through life.
After receiving a BFA from Emily Carr University in 2014, I started freelancing in art and illustration. Post graduation I studied at BCIT and got my certificate in communication design, which helped develop my technical and visual problem solving skills. In the years to follow I started my first murals, learned tattooing, and continued to make illustration and branding for big and small businesses.
My work is versatile but recognizable, I find inspiration from changing disciplines, experimenting with new materials, and doing my best to doodle everyday. Visually i’m inspired by cartoons, retro decor, hand painted signs, surface design, colourful sculpture and painted plywood installation work. I love to snowboard and be outdoors, crafting with friends and youth, and skill sharing with other artists and makers. I love and believe in the connective ability of art, creativity, and collaboration.
Some of my clients and collaborations include Vans, Vancouver Mural Festival, Poler Outdoor Stuff, Salmon Arms, Union Binding Co. and DWD Snowboards.
I’m a visual artist, muralist, and tattooer situated on the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, otherwise known as Vancouver, BC.
